Samsung releases a Chromebook in the Netherlands. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 is a 2-in-1 device with a 12.4-inch touchscreen with a QHD resolution and a light Intel Celeron processor. Nothing is known yet about prices and availability in the Netherlands.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 360
It has been a long time since Samsung released a Chromebook in the Netherlands and Belgium. The latest was the Chromebook Plus (V2) from 2018. Recent figures show that the demand for Chromebooks and tablets has increased significantly during the corona pandemic and Samsung now seems to be responding to this. The result is a new Chromebook: the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360.
Samsung’s Chromebook is a 2-in-1 device, which means that the keyboard can rotate all the way back so that you can use it as a tablet. The screen also plays a big role, as Samsung uses a 12.4 inch touchscreen, an LCD screen, with a remarkably high resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a brightness of up to 340 nits. Samsung further states that the touchpad is extra large and the keyboard is resistant to spilling drinks.
Chipset and connections
What is less high-end is the chipset of the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360. Samsung has placed an Intel Celeron N4500 in the housing, which is a 1.1 GHz processor that we see in many Chromebooks. The device comes with 64 or 128 GB of storage and 4 or 8 GB of RAM. You can also expand the storage via the microSD slot.

If we look at the ports, we find: two usb-c connections; a USB-a 3.2 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is not known what the expected battery life of the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 is, but it comes with a 45W fast charger that works via USB-C. The Chromebook also has a 720p webcam
Nothing is known yet about the Dutch and Belgian prices of the new Chromebook and we do not yet know when it will come here. In the United Kingdom it costs 419 pounds, which is converted to 493 euros. That’s for the model with 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. We have asked Samsung for more clarity.
