Saving digital stamps at AH

The stamp book disappears. In the future, people will only be able to save digital purchase stamps at AH. Since 1 June 2020, customers can have their Purchase Stamps digitally credited via the Albert Heijn app ‘Appie’. If you still want to complete a stamp booklet, you can do so until December 31, 2020. Until then, paper stamps will still be distributed. It is possible to return full savings accounts for another five years.

With the app you can easily keep track of your stamps. It is possible to get Purchase Stamps both in the store and when ordering groceries.

To save stamps you need the Albert Heijn app. In that app you can also do online shopping, use the bonus card and scan in the store. Don’t have the app yet? Then download it first.

When you use it for the first time, you must tick that you want to start Saving Stamps. That’s how it works:

• Open the Albert Heijn app.
• Tap the icon of a doll in the top right .
• Tap on Purchase stamps.
• Tap on Sign up for Purchase Stamps.
• An explanation follows. Always tap Next one for the next step.
• At the last step, tap Yes, I want Purchase Stamps!
• Choose Create a profile if you don’t have an account yet. Tap on login if you already have. In this example we choose a new profile.
  • Enter your personal details: Madam/Sir, first name, last name, address.
  • Enter your email address and choose a password.
  • Enter your date of birth.
  • The question is asked whether you have a Bonus card. Do you already have a Bonus card? Then enter the number on the card. Don’t have a Bonus card yet? Then choose No, create an online Bonus card. In this example we choose this.
  • Check whether you want to receive emails or the newsletter from Albert Heijn.
  • In the next screen choose Activate.
  • Tap on Finished.
• Log in with your details.
• You will see the message: ‘It was successful, you are now automatically saving stamps in the AH app’. Tap on Go to my overview.

The Savings for Purchase Stamps is now automatically turned on.

When you do your shopping in an AH store, you can have your Bonus card scanned at the cash register or you scan it yourself. When shopping online, you automatically save Purchase Stamps.

You can find the Bonus card in the Appie app like this:

• Open the app.
• Tap the middle icon in the top right that says AH .

In the Appie app you can find out how much you have saved. That can be seen like this:

• Open the app.
• Tap the icon of a doll at the top right.
• Tap on Purchase stamps.

Here is the amount saved, the interest, and how many purchase stamps are left until a full savings book. You can also see how many Purchase Stamps have been credited on which day.

Do you temporarily no longer want to save or stop the purchase stamps altogether? It goes like this:

• Open the app.
• Tap the icon of a doll in the top right .
• Tap on Purchase stamps.
• Tap the three dots at the top right.
  • Tap on Pause purchase stamps to temporarily stop saving. Tap the three dots again > Resume purchase stamps to start saving again
  • Tap on Stop buying stamps if you want to stop buying stamps altogether. You must first have your stamps paid out in the store. Tap on Stop saving to confirm.
