Techzle can be the first to announce the minimum amounts Audi wants to receive for the new SQ7 and SQ8. The two muscular mastodons no longer have a diesel engine under the hood, but have a more than 500 hp petrol heart.
Last month, Audi presented the latest versions of the SQ7 and SQ8 to the world. The renewed sub-toppers of the Q7 and Q8 family exchanged their 435 hp and 900 Nm strong 4.0 TDI V8 diesel engine for a 507 hp and 770 Nm petrol engine. Techzle can be the first to report what the SQ7 and SQ8 with that new 4.0 TFSI V8 should cost.
Audi is asking at least € 157,060 for the new SQ7. The SQ8 must yield at least € 171,790. This makes the new petrol versions slightly more pricey than their diesel predecessors. The now-replaced SQ7 and SQ8 with diesel V8s were in the order books for approximately € 146,000 and € 161,000 respectively. With the Q7, the SQ7 is the absolute top version, the Q8 has an even more powerful variant in the form of the 600 hp RS Q8 (€ 201,245) that surpasses the SQ8.
With their new eight-cylinder engine, both models have a speed of 100 km / h in 4.1 counts. This makes them a bit faster than the outgoing versions with diesel engine. They completed the 0-100 sprint in about 5 seconds. The top speed of the new SQ7 and SQ8 versions is limited to 250 km / h. The muscular pair is not very frugal. Depending on the chosen version, the SQ duo slurps 12.0-12.1 l / 100 km. Shifting is done with the help of an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, a gearbox that naturally distributes the power to all four wheels. The SQ7 and SQ8 will be at the dealers this fall.
