Seat Tarraco gets 245 hp petrol version

Seat is expanding the international delivery range of its largest SUV with a new petrol version. The Seat Tarraco will have access to the 245 hp powertrain that we know from the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Seat puts a new engine version on the Tarraco’s international price list. The SUV is introduced to a 245 hp 2.0 TSI, a four-cylinder petrol engine that distributes its power over all four wheels via a DSG automatic transmission with seven gears and 4Drive. How do we know that powertrain? Exactly, from the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

The sportiest Tarraco sprints to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds, the top speed is set at 228 km / h. Both the five-seat and seven-seat Tarraco come onto the market with the new powertrain. The European customer is also not dependent on just one version. The Tarraco 2.0 TSI 245 DSG 4Drive, for example, is available as a sporty FR and as a luxuriously decorated Xcellence.

The Netherlands

For the time being, Seat Netherlands does not say whether it will also bring the latest top version to our country. However, it would not surprise us if the importer decides not to put the 245 hp 2.0 TSI on the Dutch price list. Later in this first quarter the Tarraco PHEV will be at the dealers. That plug-in hybrid with 150 hp 1.4 TSI and a 116 hp electric motor is also 245 hp strong. The price tag of the PHEV will undoubtedly be a little less intense than that of the fully gasoline-fired Tarraco 2.0 TSI 245 DSG 4Drive. However, with the PHEV, you have to settle for a DSG with six gears, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 205 km / h. This is offset by an electric range of 48 kilometers.
