Skoda will soon be launching a coupé version of the recently unveiled Enyaq iV. At least that’s what makes this firmly taped prototype suspect. The Vision iV Concept, which looks ahead to the Enyaq, already had such a sloping roofline. It now seems to have reached the production stage after all.
These spyshots indicate that a coupe version of Enyaq iV unveiled last week is in the works. The prototype – provided with a Czech registration – is well camouflaged, but cannot hide what this is all about. The headlights, rear light units and grille appear directly from the Enyaq iV at first glance. The continuous LED strip of the Vision iV does not seem to find its way into the production model. Style elements that seem to be implemented are the shape of the roofline and the side windows of the concept car. The large glass roof of the Vision iV is also present on this prototype.
The Volkswagen Group is busy rolling out new electric models on the modular MEB platform. Skoda is of course happily participating and this would be the latest addition. The same powertrains will most likely be used for the drive that the Czechs have already reserved for the Enyaq iV. That would mean that there would be three regular variants (the 50, 60 and 80, ranging from 150 hp to 265 hp), supplemented with a 306 hp RS. We expect to see more of this addition to Skoda’s electric range next year.
