Skoda is not only launching a completely new Superb this year, the Kodiaq is also being helped to a new generation. We can now show you that all-new Skoda Kodiaq in production trim for the first time.

The Octavia is Skoda’s absolute top seller, but the Kodiaq was certainly not crazy last year with 94,500 units sold worldwide. In fact, Skoda’s largest SUV was good for third place in the brand’s sales statistics. Skoda is also still doing good business with the Kodiaq in the Netherlands. He has to put up with the Enyaq iV and Octavia, but managed to stay ahead of not only the Fabia, but even the Karoq, Kamiq and Scala. Reasons enough for the Czechs to continue the Kodiaq story.

In September last year, the first visual evidence of the arrival of a new Skoda Kodiaq surfaced. Skoda then used the body of the current model as packaging to test the new Kodiaq. This time we can show you the new Skoda Kodiaq in its own appearance. Like the current Kodiaq, the new one will be on the MQB platform. That indeed means that the new Skoda Kodiaq will not be an EV. The new Skoda Kodiaq will in any case be available with mild hybrid petrol engines and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Apparently the Kodiaq concept is not being tinkered with much. The new model just seems to be another sturdy SUV, complete with a recognizable Skoda snout and a roofline that runs far back for as much interior space as possible.

The current Skoda Kodiaq was presented in 2016. It was Skoda’s first SUV, but certainly not the last. After all, da Karoq and Kamiq followed later. In 2021, the Kodiaq was facelifted. Fun fact: the Skoda Kodiaq also exists in China as a Kodiaq GT with a more sloping roofline. Since the Dutch market introduction of the Skoda Kodiaq, more than 14,000 copies have been sold in the Netherlands. The new Kodiaq will be unveiled this year.
