Skoda has come up with a very nice edition of the Scala. The naturally sober hatchback is available as Edition S, a version limited to 500 units with a 190 hp petrol engine.
Skoda supplies the Scala in the Netherlands with three petrol engines. The 95 hp and 110 hp flavors of the 1.0 TSI have the 150 hp and 250 Nm strong 1.5 TSI as the most powerful alternative. The German importer has hooked up home tuner Abt for this Scala Edition S, a limited edition of 500 pieces with a more powerful petrol heart.
The Edition S has the same 1.5 TSI as the 150 hp Scala, known here, although the turbo engine in this potent version delivers 190 hp and 290 Nm of torque. The Edition S is based on the Monte Carlo version that is not available in the Netherlands. Skoda unfortunately does not mention how fast the special edition of the Scala with its 40 hp and 40 Nm Nm extra is.
It does not stop with a motor upgrade. The Scala Edition S is closer to the asphalt and is optically decorated with special bumper and spoiler work, complete with a diffuser at the bottom of the buttocks and a larger roof spoiler above the rear window. The Edition S is also on 18-inch alloy from Abt. The various elements in black, such as the grille and mirror caps, are part of the already mentioned Monte Carlo version. Full LED headlights and LED rear lights are standard. Inside, the Scala Edition S is dressed with sports seats with leather upholstery, a sports steering wheel, sporty-looking pedals and strips that should pass for carbon fiber. The starting price in Germany is € 33,790. You probably already feel the shower: the Skoda Scala Edition S is not coming to the Netherlands, the Dutch importer tells Techzle.
