Skoda shows four-seater convertible

Skoda will be introducing a whole series of new electric models in various types and flavors in the coming years. You don’t have to expect a convertible from the brand anytime soon, but the Czechs are now showing such a new model. Meet this very special open Skoda with four seats and four doors.

Convertibles come in many sizes and in various segments. Convertibles with four doors, however, are a rarity, especially from a relatively down-to-earth brand like Skoda. Nevertheless, Skoda now shows a brand new four-seater convertible with four doors. What inspires the brand? Not much, because a team of students from the Dual Vocational Training in Mechatronic program is responsible for this striking creation. In fact, it is the Indian equivalent of the Skoda Vocational School in home base Mladá Boleslav, where work is currently underway on a camper version of the electric Skoda Enyaq iV.

The open four-seater is of course not a completely new model. Skoda’s study bulbs have cut the roof of the Rapid Sedan, a car that has since been replaced by the Slavia. Skoda’s students give the Rapid a modified bumper, apply yellow accents and give the open four-door a Skoda badge that, as if it were the Spirit of Ecstasy of Rolls-Royce, can retreat to the front. The written model name on the boot lid should be illuminated and the interior is covered in red leather. More adjustments? According to Skoda, there is a tablet-like infotainment screen in the interior and a modified exhaust system hangs under the quirky creation. The seat belts are attached to the seat, as the car does not have a B-pillar.
