Skoda Slavia in award-winning jacket

Skoda has a brand new sedan in the development rooms that goes by the name Slavia. That Skoda Slavia has now appeared on the internet in a prize-winning sticker sheet. Award winning, how about that?

Skoda pulls before the end of the year the canvas of a brand new, relatively compact sedan: the Slavia. The Slavia probably succeeds the Indian Rapid. Yes, Indian. After the Kushaq, the Skoda Slavia is the second specifically developed for India from the brand, which, like that compact SUV, will be placed on the MQB-A0-IN platform. That is a cheaper version of the MQB-A0 base that we know here from the Fabia, Volkswagen Polo and Seat Arona, which is tuned to the Indian market. Skoda is now releasing a new plate of the Slavia on which it can be seen in a striking cheerfully colored camouflage print.

The sticker sheet that Skoda has stuck on the Slavia is not just one. Skoda has previously held a real design competition for it. According to the brand, more than 200 people have submitted their own designed camouflage suit for the Slavia and this predominantly orange variant has emerged as the winner. The lucky winner, one Shreyas Karambelkar, wins a trip to Prague. But there’s more. Karambelkar also wins a one-on-one meeting with – yes – Skoda’s head of design Oliver Stefani. Given Karambelkar’s interest in a Skoda design competition, we assume that he is happy with it. Incidentally, Skoda seems to have a preference for colored camouflage prints for its models specifically intended for India. The already mentioned Kushaq was already shown in an orange-red print before its unveiling.

Here you can read more about the Slavia and the car that it will probably follow.
