double role

Skoda is done with its current design language. The brand will soon introduce the Vision 7S, a seven-seat electric concept car that immediately shows the direction Skoda is heading in the coming years in terms of design.
Electric cars come in all shapes and sizes, but you have to look carefully for electric seven-seaters. Mercedes-Benz has the EQB and the new EQS SUV, Tesla has the Model Y and Model X and, of course, there are a bunch of commercial vehicle-derived electric space giants with seven seats. Think of cars like the Opel Zafira-e Life, Toyota ProAce (City) Verso Electric, Peugeot e-Traveler and Mercedes-Benz EQV. Skoda is also interested in an electric car with seven seats. The brand will soon come with the Vision 7S, a study model that has molded the model in the form of an electric SUV.

Skoda Vision 7S
The Skoda Vision 7S plays a dual role. On the one hand, the car looks like a pretty concrete preview of a seven-seat electric SUV, with a little imagination the electric equivalent of the Kodiaq. In addition, Skoda introduces a completely new design language with the Vision 7S. The new house style is called Modern Solid and these sketches of the exterior of the concept car released by Skoda show something concrete for the first time.
Skoda throws its well-known design style overboard and opts for a sleek and fairly minimalist design. We see an SUV with T-shaped headlights where the LED daytime running lights are located in the top horizontal stripe. The taillights are also T-shaped. Skoda does not opt for a rear that runs over the full width of the butt, but separates the rear lights from each other by writing out its model name large on the buttocks. On both the front and rear we see silver aluminum skid plates with orange accents. At the rear, the whole is even somewhat reminiscent of a diffuser. The Vision 7S has a slightly sloping roofline, but Skoda does not use the controversial term ‘coupé SUV’ for the Vision 7S.
The Skoda Vision 7S is undoubtedly enthroned on the MEB platform. At the end of this month we will know more, then Skoda’s latest concept car will experience its public debut.
