Adjust camera control

Since iOS 26 you can fully adjust the camera controller to your liking, so that you have more control over the interface while photographing and filming. You can choose which controllers are visible, hide certain buttons to get a clearer screen, or change specific functions. This makes the camera experience more personal and better tailored to your way of working.

Dark display for PDF

In Macos Tahoe, the preview app has received a new display option especially for reading PDF files. Via the ‘display’ option in the menu bar you can now opt for ‘Use dark display for PDF’, which shows the background of your document darker while the text remains readable and clear. This ensures a more pleasant reading experience, especially in low -light environments. The option is only visible if you have switched on dark mode for Mac.

Playing speed in podcasts

A new function has been added to the Podcast app with which you can easily adjust the playback speed of a podcast. While listening to an episode you will find a button with “1x” in the player. By tapping or clicking on this, you can increase or lower the speed, so that you can quietly listen to podcasts at 0.5x or faster up to 3 times the normal speed. This gives users more freedom to determine their ideal listening pace. Previous versions, such as iOS 18, only offered a few fixed speeds, but this has now been expanded considerably.
