Mercedes-AMG is also going for the EV axe and in a number of years it will only have fully electric models in its range. Around 2025 it will come with a sleek four- or five-door EV that will not have better Mercedes-Benz brothers. It is that slick AMG that we can show you for the first time today.
There are already fully electric AMG models. After all, there are sporty AMG versions of models such as the Mercedes-Benz EQE and EQS and their SUV alternatives. However, an electric Mercedes-AMG of which only AMG versions are available does not yet exist, but it will come! Around 2025, Mercedes-AMG will launch an electric equivalent of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé and it is that car that we can visually present to you for the first time.
The even more ambitiously packaged electric Mercedes-AMG in these photos appears to be broadly the production version of the Mercedes-Benz Vision AMG, an extremely aerodynamically shaped concept car that was presented in mid-2022. That Vision AMG eventually dries up in a less intense form. The electric AMG – which may have the current AMG GT 4-Door Coupé for a few years to come – will most likely be on the AMG.EA platform. It is still unclear exactly how the front and back will be completed. However, we cannot escape the impression that the headlights are optically connected to each other by means of an LED strip.
