It may happen that over time the storage space of your iPhone or iPad is full, then you unfortunately have to take action and, for example, delete applications and come up with alternatives. You can easily view and sort the used storage space via the iOS and iPadOS settings.
For example, you can sort the storage space view by name, size and when you last used a particular application. This way you can quickly select and delete items from your iPhone or iPad. Useful!
Sort storage iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to ‘General’
- Tap ‘iPhone Storage’ or ‘iPad Storage’
A list of all apps and features using storage will immediately appear. Since iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 you can sort this list. Tap ‘Size’ at the top of the list and choose another criteria, such as sorting by name or last used date. Then you can decide what you want to do with this application: delete or clean up.
