Spotify Premium audiobooks: 15 hours free
Do you like audiobooks and do you have Spotify Premium? Then we have good news. According to The Verge you will soon be able to listen to books for 15 hours a month for free. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when we can also start working with audio books on Spotify in the Netherlands.
Currently, Spotify plans to offer the 15 hours of free listening in the United Kingdom and Australia first. It will then be introduced to other countries at a later date, with America being the next.
Listen to books with Spotify
It seems quite short, but there are quite a few books that can be listened to in 15 hours or less. You can then enjoy one or two smaller books per month in Spotify with the free 15 hours. Yet there are quite a few books that last much longer. If you want to listen to it, you have to buy more hours or wait until the next month.
Not all bestsellers
There is still a small catch. Spotify says that you can also listen to the best-known audio books (the bestsellers). But not all bestsellers will soon be available or listenable. The Verge talks about 70 percent of the bestseller range. It is not yet known which books cannot be listened to with the free 15 hours.
Exact details are still a bit vague and you should still take this news with a grain of salt. Last month it said that you could listen to 20 hours of free audiobooks and that it was only available for a limited time. That limit now seems to have been lifted, but the listening time has been shortened somewhat.
