Hybrid 136
Double good news for the Peugeot 408! The new entry-level model is stronger and less expensive than the outgoing one. From now on it starts at €40,270.
In its most affordable form, the Peugeot 408 was equipped with a 130 hp 1.2 PureTech without electrical assistance, but that is being retired. A stronger mild hybrid comes in return, with a more favorable price. From now on it starts at €40,270 (it was €40,670).
For that money you get a 136 hp 408 to take home. The mild-hybrid Hybrid 136, to be precise. It is a bit stronger than the previous basic 408 and also more economical. While the old entry-level vehicle consumed 6.0 l/100 km, the Hybrid consumes 5.1 l/100 km.
The equipment remains the same and that means that the entry-level model is designed as Allure and you can go one step higher and opt for the GT again. The Peugeot 408 Hybrid 136 costs €44,270 as a GT, which is €700 less than the version it replaces. You can order immediately, the Peugeot 408 Hybrid 136 will go into production in April.
