Chinese or not? Let us know!

The eagerness with which the Chinese car brands try to sink their teeth into the European car market knows no bounds. In a short time a whole series of Chinese brands have set foot in the Netherlands and there will be a whole bunch more soon. Will your next car be a Chinese car? Why yes, or why not?
‘The Chinese are coming!’. For years it has been said that the Chinese brands would now really populate the European car market in large numbers. Brilliance tried it in Germany and Landwind tried to sell the not exactly warmly received CV9 in 2010. More recently, MG proved with the ZS EV that Chinese manufacturers can build relevant cars. That electric crossover delivered a lot for relatively little when it was introduced. MG never stops and launches one new model after another in the Netherlands. But MG is certainly not alone.
In a short time, the list of (electric) Chinese brands that are available or will soon be available in the Netherlands has grown enormously. We mention JAC and Seres, Xpeng, Lynk & Co and Aiways, but certainly also Nio, Wey, Ora and even Hongqi that wants to win the hearts of consumers. Recently, more became clear about the EVs that BYD will sell in the Netherlands via Louwman. In the comments under news items, tests and videos about cars from Chinese car brands, we regularly read that not everyone is charmed by the Chinese car invasion. Although it is often said that Chinese cars find a lot for relatively little, others find the cars downright ugly. Also, not everyone is convinced of the build quality, the after-sales network or the way the Chinese manufacturers handle user data.
Time for a voting round, in which we posit the following statement:
‘My next car will be a Chinese car.‘
Can you find yourself in that? Why yes, or why not? You can give multiple answers.
You can leave explanations and arguments in the comments. And, as always, your opinion does not have to be someone else’s. We should all be on AutoWeek.nl because we have a thing for cars, so be kind to each other and try not to let yourself be drawn out too much.
