In the first week of November, for the first time since 1967, the Las Vegas Convention Center will not be dominated by cake scoops, gull-wing doors, oversized wheels and excessive horsepower. The annual SEMA Show has been canceled to prevent further spread of the corona virus.
Every year, more than 150,000 people travel to the Las Vegas Convention Center in ‘gambling city’ Las Vegas in the first week of November. Traditionally, the SEMA Show takes place there. This fair, organized by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) since 1967, is dedicated to everything to do with aftermarket accessories and tuning. Lovers of neon strips, chrome 23-inch wheels and lift kits should look elsewhere this year. SEMA reports that it is forced to cancel the fair this year for fear of further spread of covid-19. It is the first time in the history of the fair that the SEMA Show is canceled.
Various American media report that a number of large exhibitors had already planned to skip the fair this year. During last year’s edition, we were digitally acquainted with various extravagantly decorated models from Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Honda, Toyota and Hyundai. FCA also presents various models full of adventurous extras every year.
