These are dark times for fans of affordable sports cars, but Subaru is the bright spot. Literally, in this case: a headlight of the all-new BRZ is probably completely visible!
The all-new Subaru BRZ will be unveiled on November 18. With a few weeks to go, it is almost inevitable that we will be presented one teaser after another at the moment. Earlier we got to see a less telling part (a piece of sill) but now it is the turn of a real headlight.
That light unit tells more about the final shape of the car, which, based on leaked images, can keep its baselines. The light unit is housed as a separate element between the front bumper, hood and front screen and therefore does not connect to a grille. Just like now, the BRZ gets a low, empty nose, with the headlights appearing more than now in a kind of Porsche-like elevation. The light units themselves are of course equipped with LED technology and feature Subaru’s somewhat distinctive, C-shaped signature.
Although no specifications are yet known, everything indicates that Subaru will once again put driving pleasure above pure performance with the BRZ. So don’t count on brutal engines with hundreds of horsepower, but on a relatively light rear-wheel drive with a nice playful character and – yes – a manual gearbox.
