Small but relevant update
You don’t hear anything from Subaru for a long time and so the brand opens a can of news. That news does not relate to the brand new Impreza, but is still interesting. For example, the Subaru Solterra will now have a 3-phase charger. That means: loading faster!
The Subaru Solterra – the Subaru brother of the electric Toyota bZ4X – was for the time being only available with a 1-phase charger that allowed you to charge on alternating current with a maximum of 6.6 kW. Subaru is now implementing a model year update on the Solterra. It does have a 3-phase connection (11 kW), and that is of course good news.
For the time being, the Solterra with 1-phase charger is available from stock. The version with 3-phase charger can be ordered immediately. It is available as a basic version simply called Solterra, as a Sky Package and as a Two Tone Package. The Subaru Solterra comes up to 465 kilometers on a full battery, only the Solterra Sky Package comes less far (414 kilometers) due to its larger alloy wheels.
The other Subaru news is smaller in nature. For example, Subaru is introducing a new trim level for the XV with a 1.6 boxer engine and the mild-hybrid 2.0 e-Boxer powertrain: Pure Plus. That version brings, among other things, a heated steering wheel and an extensive audio system to the crossover. The XV 1.6i Pure Plus costs €48,500. The Subaru Forester in turn benefits from the arrival of a Premium Black version that brings a whole range of black accents and anthracite wheels to the SUV. An extensive Harman Kardon audio system is also part of the Premium Black party. It costs €67,795. The Subaru Outback also cannot escape a new version. With that four-wheel drive station wagon, that flavor is called 50 Yr AWD Edition. The version was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Subaru’s AWD system. The new variant is based on the Outback Comfort and has, among other things, a navigation system and an electrically closing tailgate as extras. Subaru is asking €56,394 for this new version of the Outback.
