May holiday
The May holidays are just around the corner and unfortunately that also means that there is a good chance that it will be extra busy on the road. The ANWB expects that there is a good chance of busy evening rush hours, especially later this week.
The ANWB expects that the evening rush hours on Thursday April 25 and Friday April 26 will be quite intense. For many people, the May holidays already start and so we go out en masse again. Apparently we like to do that when Dutch working people are in the car going home. Commuting and holiday traffic therefore come together during the evening rush hours on Thursday and Friday.
The most delays are expected on the A2 and A27 from Utrecht towards the south. The ANWB also expects heavy traffic jams on the A12 between Arnhem and the German border. Furthermore, it will be very busy in North Brabant and the center of the country, predicts the ANWB. Not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad you have to take delays into account. There are currently more than 1,200 in Germany Construction. You will encounter them on the A3 between Arnhem and Oberhausen, among other places.
