Up to €5,250 off with Model Y

Tesla seems to want to close March 2023 with good sales figures and an empty pantry. A substantial discount therefore applies to stock cars that are still to be delivered in March.
In the market for a Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model Y? Then this news may well convince you. In particular, Tesla is temporarily offering the already relatively affordable ‘entry-level models’, at least for those who buy a stock car. In the case of Tesla, that is hardly an objection, because the variation in colors and designs is already limited. The stock now shows a (as far as possible) wide range of versions. The discount for the Model 3 is €2,700 or €2,800, so that such a car is now available from €43,293. With the Model Y, even about €5,000 is deducted here and there, but entirely in Tesla style that seems a bit arbitrary. Some copies have a higher discount than others, so it is important to stay sharp. A brand new Tesla Model Y is available for €44,373 at the time of writing, but that can change just like that.
By the way, we spot discounts of up to €5,250 with the Model Y, but feel free to see it as a challenge to find an even more competitively discounted copy.
Model 3 for €40,343
Tesla Model 3 in base trim
Incidentally, a price below €45,000 normally means that a car is eligible for a government subsidy under the SEPP scheme, but that applies to the list price. This discount therefore only applies to the simplest version of the Tesla Model 3, in white and with the standard wheels and standard interior. Including delivery costs, that car normally costs €45,993, with a tax value of €44,990. Now that same car – brand new – is listed for €43,293 incl. VAT, a discount of €2,700. If we deduct the SEPP subsidy from that, you can now drive this car for €40,343.
Model S and Model X
In theory, the discount also applies to both of Tesla’s larger models, the Model S and the Model X. In the case of the Model S, however, we do not see that discount on discounted stock cars at the time of writing. The Model X does: a Model X Plaid is offered for €137,523. That is €15,170 less than normal for this version.
