Tesla has now installed twenty thousand so-called superchargers worldwide, the American manufacturer of electric cars announced on Sunday. Superchargers are the brand’s own charging points.
Tesla did not share any other information, only that the number of twenty thousand has been reached and is still growing. The brand’s website has not yet been updated; there is still talk of “more than eighteen thousand” superchargers. There are currently 29 supercharger stations in the Netherlands.
One of the newest stations was opened in Rijswijk last July. This was also the first so-called V3 Supercharger station. This allows the models of the American brand to be recharged even faster. The charging stations have a charging capacity of 250 kW. The charging capacity of the V3 charging points is therefore considerably higher than that of the existing V2 chargers, which generate 150 kW.
