Entry-level Tesla?

During the annual shareholder meeting, Tesla CEO Elon Musk showed a picture of a mysterious new model. Musk also kept the cards nice to the chest, but this may be the long-awaited new entry-level model.
Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting always brings something new and this year is no different. CEO Elon Musk promised that the Cybertruck will really come on the market this year and shortly afterwards a mysterious image appeared on the screens. On it we clearly see a Tesla with Model Y-like proportions and Musk is talking about one of two ‘new products’ that are coming. That is probably the ‘entry-level Tesla’, which was confirmed almost three years ago, which, it was then stated, should cost about $ 25,000. Possibly the other car he is talking about is the aforementioned Cybertruck, although it could also be a delivery van or passenger van.
The second seems most likely, as there was last month in it master plan there was talk of the arrival of a compact car and a van. An image of Tesla’s existing model range has even surfaced, with two models parked under a canvas in addition to the Cybertruck. Probably those two. According to the data from the Master Plan, the entry-level Tesla will have a 53 kWh LFP battery and, according to Tesla, would be good for almost twice as many sales as the Model 3 and Model Y combined.

Musk does not provide much information about the newcomers in the presentation, although he does promise that in terms of design and production processes, they will “stand head and shoulders above everything known in the industry.” Those are not soft promises. Together, the two new models would be good for more than 5 million units sold per year, although Musk emphasizes that that is still a fairly wild guess.
