Sandero in second

There is a good chance that the Tesla Model Y will become the best-selling new car in Europe this year. The Dacia Sandero is just behind, but the difference no longer seems to be catching up.
2023 has become somewhat of the year of the Tesla Model Y. In its first full year of sales, the electric SUV is doing quite well at European level. Here in the Netherlands too, the Model Y is heading for the leading position. From figures from Dataforce, seen by Autonews it appears that at European level the gap between the Model Y and the Dacia Sandero will probably no longer be closed.
According to the latest expectations, the Tesla Model Y will have just under 230,000 units delivered in Europe this year, including November. The Dacia Sandero follows in second place, about 13,000 units behind. The only thing that seems to be able to throw a spanner in the works for the Tesla Model Y are the strikes in Scandinavia, reports say. Autonews. The success of the Model Y at European level, just like here in the Netherlands, is probably largely determined by business drivers. The Dacia Sandero is the most popular among private individuals.
