Filling your Tesla with fresh, farm-fresh electricity at breakneck speed will now cost more than you are used to. Tesla is increasing the average charging rate of its Superchargers from 0.28 cents to 0.35 cents per kWh.
At the end of last year, both Shell Recharge and Fastned increased charging rates and now it is Tesla that is implementing a price increase. The average price for charging the brand’s Superchargers was previously €0.28 per kWh, but as of today it is €0.35 per kWh. That means the average Supercharging price has increased by 25 percent.
As expected, the price increase is related to the ever increasing energy prices. Shell Recharge and Fastned were also forced to raise charging rates due to the high energy prices. The price increase to €0.35/kWh does not mean that you will lose that with every Supercharger. The specific prices per Supercharger location can be found in the infotainment system of the cars of the brand.
