Rising energy prices

Tesla is not raising rates for charging at the Superchargers for the first time this year. The reason is obvious: the increased energy prices.
Just under a month ago, we reported that charging rates at Tesla’s Superchargers have doubled since the beginning of this year. Until March 7, as a Tesla driver, you had lost €0.28 per kWh, at the end of August that came to an average of €0.57 per kWh. Now the rate continues to rise. From now on, if you have a Tesla, you usually lose €0.72 per kWh.
As always, the rate for non-Tesla drivers is higher and now amounts to €0.84 per kWh at the majority of charging locations. Previously, that was an average of about €0.68 per kWh. With the new rates, if you don’t have a Tesla, you will spend about the same with a Tesla Supercharger as with fast chargers from Fastned and Shell Recharge.
