Tesla responds to fuss over ‘rusting’ Cybertrucks

The body of the Tesla Cybertruck is made of stainless steel and despite the reputation of that material, rust has already been spotted on some Cybertrucks. Tesla responds, through a key employee.

In the US, some Tesla Cybertruck owners have taken to digital forums to report that rust spots appear to be developing on their ‘stainless steel’ cars. There are also various discussions going on at X, which happens to be owned by Tesla boss Elon Musk. Autonews points out that a certain Wes Morrill has joined the discussion. There’s a good chance you don’t know him, but he is primarily responsible for the reliability of the Cybertruck.

The ‘rusting’ of the Cybertrucks is therefore a matter that is logically on his plate. Morrill states that it must be iron particles that have landed loose on the stainless steel and are starting to rust and not material that belongs to the stainless steel itself. According to him, it is simply pollution and should be able to be removed by the owners of the cars. None other than Musk himself responds affirmatively to the messages. Morrill posted his response to a video in which someone shows how to remove the spots with simple cleaning products. According to Morrill, that’s a great way.
