‘Discriminatory attack’

Tesla is quite angry about the consequences of targeted strike actions it is facing in Sweden. That is why legal action is now being taken. Tesla speaks of a ‘discriminatory attack’.
Sweden’s largest union has been embroiled in a battle with Tesla for some time to obtain a collective bargaining agreement for its mechanics. At the end of October, around 130 employees from ten Tesla workshops in Sweden stopped working. Members of other unions, including postal workers, dock workers and cleaners, have joined the action against Tesla out of sympathy. For example, Teslas are no longer unloaded at the port. Tesla, in turn, has now filed a lawsuit against the Swedish government’s Transport Agency. In addition, a lawsuit has been filed against the Swedish postal company Postnord. This is reported by the Swedish business newspaper Dagens Industri.
The strike at Postnord is particularly bothering Tesla. Due to the targeted strike at that postal company, Tesla will no longer receive license plates from the Swedish Transport Organization. These are only delivered via Postnord, because all Swedish government agencies are obliged to use that postal company under a tender contract. Tesla states according to Dagens Industrial: “This seizure of license plates constitutes a discriminatory attack without any legal support, aimed at Tesla.” Tesla CEO Elon Musk described the consequences of the strike in Sweden last week as ‘insane’.
