The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 26 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. You don’t notice that much, however, because only a fraction of it is worth installing. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Flipping Legend
It is amazing how game makers make the endless runner genre feel fresh. Like with Flipping Legend. In the game you play as a warrior, archer or mage and jump through the levels to get as far as possible. You do this by jumping to the top left or top right. Not only do you have to avoid all traps, but you also have to defeat as many enemies as possible. Landing on opponents refills your life meter. This is necessary, because this meter collapses very quickly. When the meter is empty, it is game over.

2. Ziggo GO
Ziggo has given its television app for iOS a major update. In the new version you can now watch MTV Live, Animal Planet and Motorsport.tv on your smartphone or tablet. You can also watch BBC and ARD on the go, something that was previously only possible at home on your own network. The update contains more good news for owners of a Chromecast or Apple TV. Series and movies from the Movies & Series package can now be streamed to a Chromecast or Apple TV via AirPlay.

3. Tour de France Video
The Tour de France is on the road for a day and that is why the NOS has released a new app. With the Tour de France Video app you can watch the latest videos about the cycling race everywhere, with previews and interviews, for example. More importantly, you can watch every stage live with the app. You will also receive a notification when a new stage starts. This makes it the most complete iOS app to follow the Tour de France this year.

4. Appie
The Appie app has been renewed and that can be seen on the iPhone, but especially on the iPad. From now on, the home screen is a collection of different functions. At the top of the screen, the Bonus offers pass by in a rotating carousel, with a recipe of the day and products that you can have delivered to your home for free. With the search function or the menu you can then zoom in on a specific function of the app. For example, look at all Bonus offers, get inspired with a recipe or use the built-in self-scanner.

5. Day One
Are you looking for a place to record your life? Then you’re in luck, because Apple’s new free App of the Week is Day One. The great thing about Day One is how easy it is to add things. On the main screen you choose to add a text or a photo. Then you can write undisturbed without extras, or you can add a little more to your diary page. For example, it is possible to add a location, the weather, an activity and more.
