Best iOS Games July 2019

This month Dr. Mario World a bit against, but luckily there are plenty of other games to play. Are you going on vacation or are you staying at home? These games will keep you entertained wherever you are.

1. Sky: Children of the Light

The makers of PlayStation 3 game Journey are back with a free game for iOS. Sky has a lot of resemblance to Journey, but also does its own things. The emphasis in the game is on discovering beautiful worlds, in order to bring back the light there.

You don’t do that alone, because the game is full of other players. Sometimes you need each other to move forward. Other times you just grab each other’s hands to have an adventure together. Also read our Sky: Children of Light review.

2. Hyper Light Drifter

Since Sword & Sworcery, we haven’t seen such a stylish game on iOS as Hyper Light Drifter. In the game you play as a sick warrior in a world where everything wants to kill him. With a sword and pistol in your pocket you make your way through a beautifully stylized world.

Hyper Light Drifter is not an easy game and the combination of dodging and your attacks hits the spot. The fact that these actions are under virtual buttons can sometimes cause you to go wrong in the heat of battle.

3. Human: Fall Flat

Human: Fall Flat is a really wacky game, completely based on physics. You are a wobbly human trying to maneuver through all kinds of puzzles and intricate levels. It’s up to you to explore and feel a little where to go and what to do.

Since you can jump and basically grab anything, you have a whole bunch of options. It is especially nice that you can collaborate with others. Both with friends and random other players.

4. Bumpin’ Dungeon

In Bumpin’ Dungeon you dive into a dungeon full of puzzles. Your goal is to reach the door on the other side of the level in each puzzle. However, you only have a limited number of moves and in the meantime you have to defeat enemies, switch buttons and color tiles by standing on them, among other things. Can you get everything done before you can’t take any more steps?

5. P1 Select

Michael Brough’s games all have something in common: they’re not pretty, but if you give it a chance, you’ll get an insanely interesting game in return. Like Imbroglio and Cinco Paus, the new P1 Select is a roguelike.

Your goal is to move through nine levels while collecting as many points as possible. Nine levels doesn’t sound like much, but the game takes your average score from twenty sessions for the leaderboards. But if there’s one thing Brough is good at, it’s replayability.
