The BMW Touring: always a popular type
That BMW takes electric driving more than seriously is evident from the current product portfolio in that area. That started more than ten years ago with the idiosyncratic and very progressive BMW i3, which is loved by its drivers to this day. The model range is now being expanded for the first time with a fully electric Touring, a model variant that has always been very popular with BMW drivers. The large tailgate in combination with the spacious luggage compartment and the folding rear seat backrests make the Touring the ideal family car, with plenty of space for work and leisure.

Long driving range, impressive performance
Last year, BMW presented the new i5, the first fully electric 5-series, and immediately announced during that event that there would also be a Touring. The BMW i5 Touring is available with rear-wheel drive or as an xDrive with drive on all four wheels. The version with the largest range is the i5 eDrive40 Touring, which can travel up to 560 kilometers (WLTP) on a full battery charge. It combines this with performance that you would expect from a BMW, such as silent acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and a power of 250 kW/340 hp.

The BMW i5 eDrive40 is temporarily available as an M Sport Edition for the attractive price of €79,999 or a net additional charge of €640 per month. The edition consists of the following options:
