Leaf disappears before his successor arrives
It’s almost the end of the story for the Nissan Leaf as you know it now. Nissan’s electric pioneer can only be ordered with the smallest battery pack, which means that the Nissan Leaf e+ with the larger battery pack can no longer be ordered new.
Until recently, Nissan supplied the Leaf in two different versions. It was available as a Leaf with a 39 kWh battery and a 150 hp electric motor and as a Leaf e+ with a more powerful 217 hp electric heart and a larger 59 kWh battery. The Nissan Leaf e+ is only available from stock. The Nissan Leaf with a 39 kWh battery can still be ordered, but that version will also disappear before the successor to the Leaf arrives.
The Nissan Leaf with a 39 kWh battery and 150 hp electric motor has an electric range of up to 270 kilometers to its name. Its top speed: 144 km/h. The Leaf e+ achieved a range of 385 kilometers. The Nissan Leaf that remains – with a 39 kWh battery – is available as N-Connecta from €36,890. It is also available as a Tekna and costs €38,840 in that guise.
Behind the scenes, Nissan is already working hard on a successor to the Leaf. It will probably no longer have a traditional hatchback shape. The new Leaf, which will be released within a few years, will be a derivative of the Chill Out Concept that the brand showed in 2021, Nissan recently indicated. So it will be more SUV-like.
