After the launch of the iPhone 16, Apple Watch Series 10 and the iPad mini 2024, Apple will launch three more devices next week. This is them!
New Macs are coming
Apple has already released a series of products this fall. In September, the company presented the iPhone 16 (Plus), iPhone 16 Pro (Max), Apple Watch Series 10 and the AirPods 4. This month the iPad mini 7 was added, but according to rumors, Apple will soon release three more devices. The new generations of the iMac, Mac mini and the MacBook Pro may appear as early as next week.
The usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman has announced that the new Macs will be presented very soon. He didn’t mention a specific day, but did indicate that Apple plans to release the new devices next week. That means we don’t have to wait much longer, because the new iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro will probably appear early next week.
Macs get M4 chip
Apple provides all new devices with the M4 chip, which we previously saw with the iPad Pro 2024. It is expected that the MacBook Pro will receive more advanced versions of this processor, you can then choose the M4 Pro or M4 Max chip. Other changes to the MacBook Pro 2024 include three Thunderbolt 4 ports and 16 GB of RAM as standard. With the current MacBook Pro you get two Thunderbolt 4 ports and only 8 GB of RAM.
Apple is also switching to the M4 chip with the iMac and Mac mini. Few further changes are expected for the iMac. That is not the case with the Mac mini, because according to Gurman, Apple is coming up with a redesign for the device. The Mac mini will have a much thinner design and will be a lot more compact. This makes the device more similar to the Apple TV, which has a similar design.
Release of the new Macs
The MacBook Pro 2024 has already surfaced in Russia, making it almost certain that Apple will announce the device soon. According to Gurman, we can expect the new Macs next week, Apple usually presents new devices on Monday or Tuesday. So just be patient, because there is a good chance that we will see the new iMac, Mac mini and the MacBook Pro on Monday October 28 or Tuesday October 29. This will probably happen via press releases, there will be no more Apple event this year.
While the iMac itself will not receive a major update, the device will probably be unveiled with a number of new accessories. The Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard all make the switch to the USB-C connection. Among the current accessories we still see the Lightning port.
