December was a wild month for iOS gamers. Several beloved games that came out for consoles last year are now also available for iOS. And then some new top titles have also appeared.
A game that unfortunately did not make it to the list, but one that we still want to mention is Getting Over It. In this bizarre game from the creator of the impossible QWOP, you have to make a man in a jar climb a mountain with a hammer. It’s terrible and impossible and actually not fun, but we still want to move on. The voice-over that constantly belittles you when you make another mistake is excruciating and fantastic at the same time. But if you really want to have fun, you better check out the following games.
1. Gorogoa
We’ve already had some great puzzle games this year, such as the amazing The Witness. But when we talk about puzzle games made for a touchscreen, Gorogoa is our new favorite. The game is original, beautiful, intelligent and something that everyone must experience.
You play the game on a field with four squares. These planes contain stationary or moving drawings. This is already nice to look at, but it gets much better if you start sliding the surfaces. Not only do different things happen when you put certain surfaces next to each other, but also when you slide them over each other. You have to experience for yourself what exactly happens, but we have never experienced something like this before.

2. Life is Strange
Life is Strange is one of the best stories you can play on your iOS device right now. In the game you follow the teenage girl Max. She finds out that she can turn back time. In the style of the well-known Telltale games you have to make choices regularly, but because you can turn back time, you can view the different consequences. The long-term consequences? You have to learn to live with that.
It is a beautiful game that mainly revolves around the relationship between Max and her childhood friend Chloe, but also how Max relates to other characters in this world. The game knows how to discuss certain topics that you do not see elsewhere, and this is done in a special way.

3. Inside
The makers of Limbo made it just as dark Inside. In this game you control a kid who ends up in a dark world and has to survive. That is not easy, because he falls into one misery after another in a place where everyone and everything is against him. The game is insanely good.
