These are the renewed Alfa Romeo Giulia Q and Stelvio Q.

Alfa Romeo carried out a renewal round at the end of last year on the Giulia and the Stelvio, although the brand kept the modernized Q versions under control. Until today!

It should come as no surprise that the spiced Q versions of both the Giulia and the Stelvio undergo the same adjustments as Alfa Romeo made to the regular versions of the pair last November. It is therefore possible to search for major external changes for a long time; the actual news is inside. The only external changes are, in addition to new color schemes, the arrival of new LED light units with dark lenses and a glossy black grille.

Bad news for those who had hoped: those changes don’t affect the 2.9-liter twin turbo V6 with which Alfa Romeo delivers the potent Q versions of the Giulia and Stelvio. That mighty six-cylinder delivers after the model year update ‘just’ again 510 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The character of the Q models can again be set in four positions via the rotary knob of the DNA Pro system placed on the center tunnel: Race, Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficiency (Eco). New is the possibility to order a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovič, a specimen with carbon fiber-made tailpipes that according to Alfa Romeo sounds even better than the standard system. Recently we saw how the Giulia GTA and GTAm were equipped with an Akrapovič exhaust system.

Interior

Alfa Romeo also offers a fresh steering wheel and a leather-finished gear selector lever in the Giulia Q and Stelvio Q, but there is more. The Italians make belts available that can be ordered not only in black, but also in red and green. Sport seats with perforated leather will eventually be available. Just like the regular versions, the Q editions of both models also benefit from the new 8.8-inch screen that comes with the new infotainment system, a copy that replaces the 7-inch display. Nice: it is now a touchscreen. Alfa Romeo also says to use higher quality material. New is also a wireless charger for smartphones and Alfa Romeo also speaks of the arrival of larger, more accessible storage compartments.

The Giulia and Stelvio Q are also improving in terms of safety. Alfa Romeo introduces a package of systems under the name Advanced Driver Assistance System. The two Italians will be given an active lane assistant, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control that works together with traffic sign recognition and, finally, a traffic jam and a highway assistant.
