Usual suspects?

You may sometimes have the impression that in a certain model you almost always see a head of gray hair behind the wheel. In some cases you may well be right. In any case, our eastern neighbors have cars that are driven in a striking number by people over 65.
The Dutch and German markets are of course not directly comparable, but the figures nevertheless indicate Auto, Motor und Sport a nice insight into which cars are remarkably popular among the elderly. When you think of cars for the elderly, for example, do you immediately think of the Toyota Yaris? Well, it is relatively not too bad how many people over 65 drive it; 23.1 percent of German Yaris drivers are 65 years or older. That is of course still quite a nice group, but not such a large one if we look at the ten cars with the highest share of owners over 65.
The car with the highest share of owners over the age of 65 is the Skoda Yeti, with no less than 44.3 percent of owners falling into that category. In second place, the Mercedes-Benz B-class makes a nice contribution with 40.5 percent, closely followed by the Audi Q3 (39.7 percent). The Honda Jazz is also not surprisingly popular among the elderly: 29.5 percent of Jazz owners have already reached their 65th birthday.
