Thierry Bolloré new CEO Jaguar Land Rover

None other than Thierry Bolloré will be at the helm of Jaguar Land Rover. Bolloré succeeds Sir Ralph Speth, who is retiring.

The bullet has passed through the church: a successor has been found for Speth. Thierry Bolloré has come forward as the new CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, just a year after leaving Renault. Bolloré will join the British group on 10 September this year. A great new challenge for the Frenchman, who was relieved of his position at Renault in October 2019. At the time, Bolloré was already kicked out as CEO after a few months, although the fine things never really came out. It may have been related to his close ties to fallen CEO Carlos Ghosn.

Either way, Jaguar Land Rover believes in the 57-year-old. This also immediately put an end to the rumors that the Dutchman Bram Schot would become the new CEO of the British group. Bolloré is faced with an arduous task now that the corona crisis leaves considerable traces. For the same reason, JLR Sir Speth decided to hold on a little longer. Speth, in turn, will continue to hold an advisory role on the board once he retires in September.
