Are you not yet tired of all the prices of the countless new engine versions that BMW recently introduced? Then we have another prize news for you. Before BMW itself makes it public, AutoWeek can also tell you what the Dutch price of the BMW Z4 with manual gearbox is in the Netherlands.
The news that BMW pumped into the world last week included a version of the BMW Z4 with a manual gearbox. Outside the Netherlands, the BMW Z4 sDrive20i – with four-cylinder – was already available with a manual gearbox, but that combination was not available in our country. Now the BMW Z4 is also available in the Netherlands with a manual gearbox, but then you immediately get the strongest engine that BMW can supply in the Z4. AutoWeek can tell you what that BMW Z4 with manual gearbox should cost.
The BMW Z4 M40i, with its 340 hp six-cylinder, is the absolute top version of the Z4 family. It was previously only available with a Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and costs €94,200 in that configuration. From now on, the BMW Z4 M40i is also available with a six-speed manual transmission. For that manual shifting pleasure, you have to dig even deeper into your pockets. The BMW Z4 M40i with manual transmission costs at least €110,033, making it almost €16,000 more expensive than the version with automatic transmission.
Those who operate the manual gearbox skillfully enough will get the Z4 M40i to a speed of 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. In combination with the eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission, you can reach 100 km/h in 0.1 seconds. A negligible difference of course.
