At the beginning of this year, DS introduced the DS 9 to the world, the third type in the series that also consists of the 3 Crossback and 7 Crossback. Next year the DS 4 (Crossback) will be added. The DS 9 seems to remain the only sedan of the brand in Europe. It is immediately special. The car shares its platform and a large part of its carriage with the Peugeot 508, but is 18 centimeters longer, has its own front and rear and a ditto interior. For that just under 58 grand you get a 225 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain that is in more products from Groupe PSA. The powertrain consists of a 180 hp 1.6 PureTech 4-cylinder petrol engine with turbo, which is coupled to a 110 hp electric motor. Switching is done with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The DS 9 has an 11.9 kWh battery pack that is good for an electrical range of 50 kilometers. The DS 9 was also initially presented as a 250 hp and 360 hp four-wheel drive plug-in hybrid. These versions may come to our country later.

The starting price of € 57,890 applies to the DS 9 E-Tense 225 fitted as a Performance Line. This version already has Vision LED headlights and Active Scan Suspension that scans the road ahead of the car and adjusts the damping accordingly. Also standard: DS Connect with navigation, Alcantara interior trim, electrically adjustable and heated seats, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, 19-inch light alloy, keyless entry and soundproof windows. Whoever pays € 60,790, will receive the E-Tense 225 in Rivoli + version.
