Mercedes-AMG C 43 AMG 4Matic

Mercedes-Benz is steadily expanding the delivery range of the C-class. AutoWeek can now report what the Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic costs, the sub-topper that will function as the top version until the actual arrival of the Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance.

The Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance is by far the strongest C-class ever. The plug-in hybrid top version of Mercedes-AMG kicks it up to a system power of no less than 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of torque. We do not yet have a Dutch price tag for that rock-hard AMG version, but we can already tell you what the Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic should cost. That is actually the subtopper, but until the C63 SE Performance is actually for sale in the Netherlands, it is the temporary top version.

The Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic has a mild hybrid 2.0 under the hood, a machine that is also in the SL43. It is no longer a 3.0 V6 as in the previous C43 AMG, but a four-cylinder. Where the six-cylinder reached 390 hp and 520 Nm in the previous C43 4Matic, the horny four-cylinder now generates 408 hp and 500 Nm with electronically controlled turbos. With that, the Mercedes-AMG C43 4Matic sprints to a speed of 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 250 km/h and those who pay an extra €3,025 can have it increased to 265 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz asks a minimum of €110,560 for the C43 4Matic. That amount is for the C-class sedan, the price of the C43 4Matic Estate is €113,356. The C43 AMG can be equipped with, among other things, the AMG Night package, which includes a black grille and black type designations. The Premium package, which includes a 360-degree camera, MBUX navigation premium, seat heating, Digital Light and seat heating, is standard. The Premium Plus package, which includes, for example, a sliding/tilting glass roof, a comprehensive audio system from Burmester, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function (left) and a head-up display, costs an additional €3,025. The AMG Dynamic Plus package with red brake calipers, active engine mounts and an AMG sports steering wheel costs €2,420 extra.
