If you don’t want certain people to see your LinkedIn profile, you can block them just like on Facebook. That is not difficult and you can do this on the desktop as well as on your smartphone. Little chance that you will ever reach the official maximum of profiles that you are allowed to block. That has been set at 1400. Let’s start with blocking one person on LinkedIn.
Via desktop
Don’t worry about being skewed by someone who blacklists you. That person will never know. LinkedIn does not send him or her a notification and even if you have blocked the person via their profile page, this visit will never be visible. If you want to block someone via the computer, surf to www.linkedin.com and log in to your account. Then open the profile of the user you want to block.
At the click of a button More can you reach the button Report/Block†Then you have to confirm this choice again by pressing the button again To block to click.
via cell phone
on an iPhone, iPad or Android device, you should of course first open the LinkedIn app on your phone. Then select the profile of the person you want to hide your profile for. On the user profile screen, tap the button with the three dots next to the button Message†Also here you select Report or block and now you confirm the choice.
Unblock
To unblock a LinkedIn user, you must first go to the list of all blocked people. The easiest way to do this is via the computer and the LinkedIn website. Click on the down arrow below your profile picture. Then you open Settings and privacy†In the left column, select the category Visibility†This section is therefore divided into two parts.
Choose the option Visibility of your profile and network†On the right you see the option To block†If you click on that, you will see the list of people you have blocked. Press the button Unblock next to the person’s name. LinkedIn will ask for your password and then you have to press again Unblock Member click.
