Many people nowadays no longer call via their provider but via WhatsApp. After all, it’s a cheap way to make a call. But did you know you can also record these conversations? Handy if, for example, you are a journalist or are researching something you are talking about with someone. It is possible to record your WhatsApp phone conversations on both Android and iPhone.
Record a conversation via voice recorder
To record a WhatsApp phone call on Android, use your voice recorder. Most phones come with a voice recorder installed by default. If this is not the case for you, you can always download one from the Google Play store.
As soon as you are calling the contact person you want to reach, put the call on loudspeaker. Then go to your voice recorder and press record. The conversation will then be recorded through the loudspeaker. You will not get the best audio quality this way, so it is recommended that you only do this when sitting in a quiet room.
Record with an app
Another way to record a conversation is through an app such as Cube Caller. If you want to use this app, you must have an Android smartphone that supports the Voice Over Internet Protocol. You will find a list of devices that allow this in the Cube Caller app.
To get started, first open Cube Caller and set the settings you need. Then you act as you always would when you call someone via WhatsApp. As soon as you make a call, a Cube Caller widget should appear on your screen letting you know that you are recording the call. You can also use this app to record conversations via, for example, Skype or Facebook, but this app also works with all regular telephone calls that you make.
