This is how you set the brightness of your iPhone screen below the minimum

When you wake up in the morning and grab your iPhone to see if you missed any messages, the light from the smartphone can be quite bright. If the lowest setting is still too much for you, there is an option to make it even darker.

By default, you adjust the brightness of the iPhone in the Control Center. This is done via the slider there and everything works easily. Yet you can go a little further.

Your iPhone’s brightness below minimum

If I grab my iPhone myself, the minimum that is indicated in the Control Center is actually very low. But if you really want to wake up peacefully, it is possible to go a step further. There are two options for this. The first can be found in the Settings app. That’s where you have to go Accessibility go to. Then choose the option there Display and Text Size† Almost at the bottom you will find the option Reduce white point

If you turn it on, you get the option to choose a percentage of how dim you want the image to be. When you’ve done that, you’ll notice that you can adjust the brightness just a little more in the Control Center.

Second option

The second option to further reduce the brightness of your iPhone has to do with the Zoom-possibility. You can also find this again in the Accessibility app and it is almost at the top. It is important that you activate it. When you’ve done that, you can double-tap the screen with three fingers to activate it.

Then you choose the right filter in the form of low light. Once that’s done, you’ll notice that the screen’s brightness is reduced even further. Want to read more about all things iPhone? Then visit our overview page here.
