This is the cost of the new Mini Cooper with petrol engines

The day after Mini pulled the curtain on the thoroughly updated petrol versions of its three-door hatchbacks that are now part of the Cooper family, AutoWeek can already tell you what the new Mini Cooper C and Cooper S cost in the Netherlands.

At Mini, Cooper is no longer the name of an engine version, but of its entire family of three- and five-door hatchbacks. The electric Mini Cooper E and SE were recently joined by the Cooper C and S. These are thoroughly facelifted versions of the now ten-year-old Mini’s Hatchback, complete with a different name, a completely new interior and a heavily revised appearance that brings them closer to the electric Coopers. The petrol Coopers are available in two engine versions and AutoWeek has the prices.

The Mini Cooper C is the mildest of the bunch. It has a 156 hp 1.5 three-cylinder petrol engine and changes hands from €36,990. It is also available in an extra sporty John Cooper Works version, complete with Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and the necessary external extras. The Mini Cooper C with John Cooper Works pampering is considerably more expensive and is on the order books for €47,442.

For more gas punch, the Mini Cooper S is on the list. The Cooper S has a 204 hp powerful 2.0 four-cylinder and it is also available with and without John Cooper Works extras. You can get in from €42,490. The Mini Cooper S with John Cooper Works fun package has a starting price of €52,775.
