This is the fully electric Peugeot e-Expert

The electrically powered versions of PSA triplets Vivaro, Jumpy and Expert are all here now. Peugeot is the last of the three to pull the curtain off its variant; the e-Expert.

Following the already fully unveiled Opel Vivaro-e and Citroën e-Jumpy, Peugeot is now climbing the podium with its e-Expert. It should come as no surprise that the Peugeot is technically equal to its spacious brothers. That means that a 136 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motor provides the drive. The same engine that also works in the electric versions of the Opel Corsa, DS3 Crossback and Peugeot’s own 208 and 2008. The e-Expert accelerates to 100 km / h in 13.1 seconds and has a top speed of 130 km / h.

As with the Vivaro and Jumpy, the e-Expert offers a choice of two different battery packs: a 50 kWh unit and one with a storage capacity of 75 kWh. The first allows the e-Expert to travel 230 kilometers (WLTP) on a full battery, the larger battery pack (reserved for the Standard and Long) allows 330 kilometers according to the French. With a 100 kW fast charger, the battery (50 kWh) can be charged to 80 percent full in half an hour. The larger battery pack requires 45 minutes of patience for the same percentage.

In terms of appearance, the e-Expert differs from the versions with combustion engine through a loading opening in the left front screen. The loading space to be used is equal to that of the regular variants. The e-Expert is also available in three sizes, such as Compact, Standard and Long. 4.6 cubic meters can be used in the Compact. The Standard (4.96 meters long) is good for at least 5.3 cubic meters and the even longer Long (5.3 meters) kicks it up to at least 6.1 cubic meters. With Moduwork bench, the loading volume in all these versions can be expanded by roughly 500 liters. In all cases, the maximum payload is 1,275 kilos. Not unimportant for those who want to travel with a trailer with the electric Expert: the bus can tow up to 1,000 kilos (braked).

The Peugeot e-Expert will hit the market in the second half of this year. Dutch prices will follow in the run-up to the introduction.
