Circuit Zandvoort is undergoing a fairly significant name change for the first time in its history. From now on, the circuit in the dunes is known as ‘CM.com Circuit Zandvoort’. With the Grade 1 license from the FIA in your pocket and the finishing touches thanks to a major renovation, the circuit is now really ready for a spectacular future.
With great interest from the media, including Techzle, it was announced in Zandvoort that the circuit will now continue under the name CM.com Circuit Zandvoort. Not surprisingly, that name is associated with a partnership between the circuit and communications technology company CM.com. The circuit was the scene of a major renovation from the end of 2018. In the run-up to a possible return of Formula 1, the design of the track opened in the late 1940s was thoroughly overhauled and the modified circuit was finally delivered at the beginning of this year. The circuit has recently received the long-awaited ‘Grade 1 license’, which puts the circuit among the absolute top of the international circuits and has also been found suitable for Formula 1.

Expansion
In addition to the circuit itself, the pit building and access to the circuit have also been changed. Everything to make it easier for visitors to get to the action and provide a better experience. From now on, the circuit can be reached not only via the existing entrance, but also via a tunnel near the Arie Luyendijk bend, which has turned into a true bend. For the drivers and racing teams, it is all better for each other, thanks to the pit boxes built out at the rear and plenty of space for the hospitality suits and material storage behind the main grandstand. Especially for VIPs, such as the drivers and team members, there is also a pedestrian tunnel under the straight from there, just before the Tarzan corner.
New facilities have also been installed right next to the track. For example, there is the special Champions Lounge just past the renewed Hugenholtz curve, where people with a substantial budget can sit with their nose on top of the action. Dutch Grand Prix
The first weekend of May should have been a big party in Zandvoort, with the return of Formula 1 after 35 years of absence.
