Apple has released a new test version of iOS 17.5, which introduces yet another new feature. This is when iOS 17.5 comes to your iPhone!
iOS 17.5 beta 4 released
A new test version of iOS 17.5 has been released. In iOS 17.5 beta 4, Apple introduces a new feature for the iPhone. It was already clear that the next iOS update will not be as big as iOS 17.4, when Apple first introduced it app stores from third parties allowed. In iOS 17.5, these rules are relaxed even further, because then you no longer need an online store to install apps.

Instead, you can also download applications to your iPhone via an internet browser. Special rules apply to this, with which Apple tries to guarantee the safety of users. No major changes are expected in iOS 17.5, but a new feature has emerged in the latest test version. The new ‘Repair State‘ has been added to the iPhone.
Repair State for the iPhone
The new Repair State is – as the name suggests – developed for situations in which your iPhone needs to be repaired. For certain repairs, your smartphone must be sent to Apple. Your device will be examined there and the correct part will be replaced. While you still have to adjust your settings before sending your iPhone, this is no longer the case with iOS 17.5.
You will soon only have to do the Repair State to enable. Now you still have to turn off ‘Find My’ and ‘Stolen Device Protection’ when you send an iPhone to Apple. In the future this will no longer be mandatory. The new feature allows Apple employees to confirm who the phone belongs to and begin the repair. From iOS 17.5 you can always keep an eye on the location of your iPhone, even if it is sent to Apple.
Release of iOS 17.5
Apple has added a new feature to iOS 17.5 at the last minute. We probably won’t have to wait much longer for the update, there is a good chance that your iPhone can be updated to the latest iOS version within two weeks. Last year, iOS 16.5 was released on May 18, iOS 15.5 was released on May 16, and iOS 14.5 was released on April 26. So just be patient, because the update is almost ready.
