The Samsung Galaxy S21 series can expect the Android 12 update in the Netherlands in the fourth quarter. That’s what Samsung Netherlands says to a question from Androidworld. We do not yet know in which month Samsung will have the update ready.
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Android 12
More is known about Samsung’s update planning in the Netherlands. The Galaxy S21 flagships will once again be first in line for the Android 12 update and will receive it in the fourth quarter. Samsung has announced this in an answer to a question that Androidworld has asked.
“We are planning the upgrade for the fourth quarter. Samsung is committed to providing Galaxy users with the best possible mobile experiences by supporting three generations of Android operating system (OS) upgrades on select Galaxy devices,” said a spokesperson for Samsung Netherlands.
Samsung already started the beta program for One UI 4.0 in September. The brand is going to add the novelties and changes of Android 12 to its software shell, and One UI 4.0 is already being tested in certain countries today. The Netherlands is not among them, but it is now known that the stable Android 12 update will come in the fourth quarter. Earlier, there was talk of an update at the end of this year.
Past updates
If we look at the past, we see that Samsung is the first to update its Galaxy S series in the Netherlands. Last year, the Android 11 update appeared on December 16 for the S20 series. In 2019, the Android 10 update for the S10 series came on December 5.
It is therefore very plausible that the update will also arrive in the holiday month this year, although Samsung could always surprise with an early rollout in November. Finally, Samsung previously announced which two things it will focus on with the One UI 4.0 software.
