According to rumors, we can expect at least three new iPads. You just have to be patient for that.
Three new iPads on the way (but not until 2024)
Usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman says in his most recent newsletter that at least three new iPads are coming. He says Apple is working on a new regular iPad, an iPad mini and the next iPad Air.
He does say that we still have to be patient. Because, according to him, Apple plans not to release the new iPads until 2024. According to Gurman, there is still a chance that a new iPad will be released. This will then be a successor to the iPad Pro. The most recent version of that iPad is from 2022.
However, Gurman had some more news. Because he expects Apple to stop selling the ninth generation iPad (the iPads 2021). The first generation of the Apple Pencil will also no longer be sold. No more iPads will appear with a lightning connection. All tablets will then be switched to a connection with USB-C.
Ming-Chi Kuo (another very reliable Apple expert) recently also predicted that no new iPads will be released in 2023. He also said that Apple will probably not release new iPads until 2024.
