Tip: Never forget to call someone again thanks to Siri Call Reminders

Whether you are busy or have an important call planned, it is nice when you are reminded. Fortunately, Siri makes it easy to set call reminders. That is how it works.

Siri as a personal assistant

Voice assistant Siri can be used for all kinds of useful tasks, and it makes your life a lot easier. By giving a voice command you do not have to take notes yourself, carry out commands, and therefore do not set a reminder to call someone (back).

This way, you are less likely to forget to call your mother, answer your colleague’s missed call or keep a scheduled call appointment. Here’s how to set Siri call reminders.

  1. Activate Siri by pressing and holding the side or home button of your iPhone, or say “Hey Siri”;
  2. Give Siri the following command, for example: “Remind me to call Lars at 12:15 PM”;
  3. Then a reminder created by Siri will appear. Close the Siri window.

As soon as the time you set for the reminder has come, you will receive a notification from the Reminders app to call them. When creating the reminder, the phone number of the selected contact is linked to it. For example, a telephone icon appears next to the task. By pressing this, the person in question is automatically called.

Postpone a reminder

Isn’t it convenient to call now? Simply reschedule the reminder by tapping the notification via 3D Touch. This allows you to postpone the reminder an hour later, the next day, or mark this task as completed.

In this way you can also indicate that you want to call them now. The feature also works with Siri on the Mac, but then logically you don’t have the option to call someone from the reminder, so you’ll still have to grab your iPhone.

Do you have multiple contacts with the same name? Then Siri first asks which of these people you mean. This also happens when someone has multiple phone numbers in their contact details.
